Watching people and animals fascinates me.  The desire to share what is beautiful and special about each one led to extensive figure studies.  Each painting answers questions. What is the subject all about?  What are they thinking or feeling?  How can my painting be refined to the simplest shape to convey the answers to my questions?  

May you sense the playful, caring interest and respect that is felt when creating these works.  May the beauty and dignity of these living creatures come alive and enchant you as they have me. 
 
Hurricane Katrina reminded me just what it means to miss New Orleans with its exotic scenes and beauty.  This  gallery has special scenes from this my home area.  My travels keep me in touch with the beauty throughtout the world including a series from the Southwest and Mexico.
